It's the demo, I think it will be changed in the final version.
I just played a DM level which name I've forgotten  and had around 40 fps with my hardware. The level looked not very nice (I missed to much effects due my hardware), it was well playable though.
About the game: they used stuff from all previous UT games before, for example the stingergun (?), a mix of the minigun from UT games and the stinger from the first Unreal game.
I hope Intel and AMD release their new CPUs soon, I want to compare them and get a new pc. |

Yes lets hope the clan tag thing is diferand in the final ut but like lomb sugested to me maybe we can just incorperate the tagg in our name..but i'm guessing that epic has a reason for not having it like this in the first place. I think of beingabel of looking up clans on the stat sites andget a general clan ranking as well as indivitual player rankings. then we have to look for a name that works..for now i use the clan tag just so ppl see eS cause whatever we change it 2 we still be somthing with eS in it 
bout the game yea love it dodging is not gone btw only not like it was in the old ut... you can seem to dodge once. keeps me flying over the maps
Also it seems i'm back to my old tricks and finde i can get up to nr 1 in dm and ctf fights so at least i got the feeling for the game back, guess thats du to the fact its UT and it still feels like UT.
verry nice!
i do have soem ut sutdown problems somtimes 1000 and other times i can play np for hours, so hope thats fixed in the final game.
Ps: thnx Lomb for the eS demo server, very nice. |

Yep, as announced I've prepared a demo server for us. Read the news article about it So far it seems to work pretty k. The server has some problems sometimes but I've heard others having those too. It can crash, what else.
Well, I'm not sure about the clan tag yet so we have to see about that. |

I've downloaded the demo quite some time ago now and to be honest I'm not very pleased with it . Maybe it's the ping (considering there is no tickrate and UTcomp yet), but nevertheless, maps that are being mostly played now (HeatRay, Shangrilla) aren't that good. Also, further note is FPS. The game requires an absolutely brilliant graphic card, in order to run it properly with around 70 FPS. I look forward for offical game, as I still have some hope, that it will be better. Many things have to be swapped. DM players will flame alot, because of the 'Slow-weaponswtich'. Nonetheless insta is a bit better. I also tried out VCTF - seems fine, but obviously some vehicals like Manta are far to strong and the skateboard is mentally fucked up .
iCTF will be so far the most popular mod in my opinion. Insta rifle for the win =).

Wow, long time no sea hehe. Yeah, well, I like UT3 so far but I'm also a bit disappointed. I mainly miss dodge jumps 
Other than that I think it seems pretty k. Feels not bad to play it. |

HI Sea! Indeed long time no see! Nice to do so now
Next up fps? there limited on 62 fps on the demo setting that number higher will not fly right since the demo is not set up that way.
A slow weapon speed on switching is indeed true also the limited (or removal) of jump dodging and things like that....the game is indeed different then what we all have been playing over the past years.
Slow weapon speeds was like intended but I think ppl will finde a way to tweak that ^^ as for dodge jumping I’ve read that ppl already are working on an add-on to make that possible again.
Personally I like the game and what I've seen so far. I think it’s balanced out ok.
Mantas are so easy to take down even walking as long as you see them coming ^^ the truck things are not really my thing but I found a way to make them us full as well ^^ and ohh...the tank don’t put me in one of those or we have a whole team crying about a noob in a tank who is killing everyone^^ well lets just say I feel pretty at home in ut3 weapons...well... I be better at instant gib no doubt but I can deal with what the have given me ok after some games...

I just figured out I wonder about some things about eS generally. (I would be satisfied, if someone would answer )
1.What are eS plans for the future in UT3? Will you still practice twice a week, but eventually start playing ladders, cups, etc. ? But as far as I know, there is only a mutator for the iGIB rifle in UT3 yet, though the game will be released very soon.
2.How many members does eS have right now? How many will play UT3? Recruitments? Do you maybe need a substitute?
3.I know you guys are mainly from 'low pinging' countries, so how do you look at the thing, that is pretty popular at the moment - 'how much will the ping influence basic playing of a participated player?' LomB, where did you say you had the server root in ?
Well, I guess it sounds pretty private, but I think some people besides me would like to know a few new things . |

Well, I was starting a topic regarding a new server since we will need a new one. The current server is too weak to handle a few servers unfortunately. Since I cannot buy a new one on my own, I need support from our members or from those who like to support it We are planning to play UT3 so far but I'm not sure when this will happen... due to the server and such.
So far we only practice once a week since we are all fairly busy, though, I could play 2 times again. We are always in need of new members
The server is located in NL, Amsterdam.
If you might be interested, well, I think it would be nice to see you back in our clan and support it if you have a bit time and fun with it |
